What Is Spiritual Direction/Spiritual Companionship (SD/SC)?

Spiritual Direction/Spiritual Companionship (SD/SC) is the process of exploring an individual's spiritual path with someone trained in listening deep reflection, and discernment. It is being with an individual as they attempt to deepen their relationship with the Divine.

Thhe guidance provided by the spiritual director/spiritual companion helps the individual to learn and grow in their own spirituality. As a result of this work together, the individual becomes attentive to Divine movement in their life.

SD/SC is acontemplative process, i.e., one that is done on a regular basis to draw the the individual into stillness where what we call God, Higher Power, Spirit is experienced. It can help an individual to recover the all-important quest for meaning, love, and one's true identity.
